Urgent Call for a Week of Unified Action and Protest: November 15 to 23
No War on Venezuela!
No Yankee War with the Caribbean and Latin America!
No Troops on US Streets!
Our Americas must be a Zone of Peace.
Dear supporter of Nicaragua, and of justice with peace everywhere,
Several weeks ago, the Nicaragua Solidarity Coalition issued a public statement: Stop US Aggression Against Venezuela!
Now we’re urgently asking for your participation! The conflict has escalated. We encourage all members and supporters of the Nicaragua Solidarity Coalition to be involved in a Week of Actions, November 15-23, to defend Venezuela from US attack. (Also actions within 24 hours of any major U.S. escalation).
Please read and endorse the Call to Action below, which our coalition has endorsed along with many other organizations. Work with others in your area to organize rallies; street meeting; vigils; speak-outs; educational sessions; protests at U.S. embassies and consulates, offices of governments and politicians who support the threat of war, etc. Our peoples, communities, and movements must fight for true peace.
Outside the US: Check regularly the Zone of Peace website for international actions now in development. Join the Zone of Peace US/NATO Out Of Our Americas Network.
Inside the US: Share the Call with other groups and individuals that might endorse it. Work with others on a local action, and post it at the link below. If you cannot locate a local group, please email us at nicaraguasolidaritycoalition@gmail.com and we will assist you.

Call to Action
No War on Venezuela! No Troops on Our Streets! National Week of Action, Nov. 15-23
Using the false claim that it is combating drug trafficking, U.S. missiles have murdered crews of small boats (68 killed so far) off the coast of Venezuela and Mexico, without evidence or due process of law. At the same time, they are sending their troops and ICE agents to our cities, with the false claim that they are fighting crime. They allege there is no money for SNAP benefits or healthcare benefits while the rich are getting yet another tax cut.
This move towards all-out war has nothing to do with drug trafficking. Venezuela has the greatest known oil reserves in the world – five times the U.S. oil reserves. The Venezuelan government refuses to be dominated by the U.S. It is determined to use its own oil, gas, coal, diamond and gold resources for healthcare, housing and education for the people of Venezuela, not for U.S. billionaires. The US attacks and open threats of regime change in Venezuela and Colombia are a blatant violation of international law.
It is time to take to the streets and resist these U.S. government and corporate attacks on people in Venezuela, Colombia, all Latin America and the Caribbean, while militarizing and repressing the people of the U.S.
Let’s join together, November 15 – 23, and build actions in cities, towns and campuses throughout the country. Let the war makers know that we are opposed to war on people anywhere in our Americas – a zone of Peace across our hemisphere.
We will continue to mobilize in local and regional actions in December, focusing on the December 17thAnniversary of the death of Simon Bolivar, “The Great Emancipator”, against colonial domination.
RESIST U.S. Wars!
